The Florida Winefest and Auction takes place annually in April. This celebration serves as a fundraiser for local charities, as well as an opportunity to taste a variety of wines and foods. A celebration of every medium of art is taking place April 29 - 30 during the 39th Annual Siesta Fiesta. Returning to its original location along Ocean Boulevard and surrounding lots, the Siesta Fiesta features life-size sculptures, spectacular paintings, one-of-a-kind jewels, photography, ceramics and more. The free, outdoor event takes place from 10 am to 5 pm both days and includes a full craft and green market with delicious edibles, live plants and whimsical and practical handmade-in-the-U.S.A. products from the nationís top craft artisans.

Presented by Howard Alan Events (HAE), producer of the nationís finest juried art shows, and American Craft Endeavors, the 39th Annual Siesta Fiesta represents original artwork, handmade in America and selected by an independent panel of expert judges from hundreds of applicants. HAEís careful vetting process also ensures a wide array of mediums and price ranges will be offered during the Fiesta. Visitors will have the chance to meet with the artists and artisans and discover the process and inspiration behind each handmade piece. Family friendly, the outdoor event also welcomes friendly pets on leashes.

January 22 ,21 22, 2017: The Sarasota Native American Indian Festival takes place at the Sarasota Fairgrounds, 3000 Ringling Blvd, on Friday 9-5, Saturday 10-6, and Sunday 10-5
Come join us and experience the culture and artistry of the of the Native American people at the Sarasota Native American Indian Festival. Enjoy finding authentic, handmade, one-of-a-kind fine arts and crafts, paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculpture, bead work and leather work, along with Native American food.
Our drum this year is Thunder Bear from the Cherokee nation who will share traditional Native American drumming, singing and various styles of dance throughout the weekend.
We will also have the Nahui Ollin Aztec Dancers joining us this year to share their beautiful culture.

This festival will continue to be a tribute to the extraordinary life of artist Rex A. Begaye, its founder. His remarkable gifts as an artist and educator of Native American culture were the inspiration for this event focused on bringing authentic Native American culture to Sarasota.
